Gas prices are heading down. School is heading back in session and the World's Longest Yard Sale officially kicked off on Aug. 7, the
127 Corridor Sale offers mile upon mile of marathon yard sales across TN & KY on Hwy. 127. During this time,
Cedar Creek Cattle Company,
Timber Ridge Campground and
Jamestown Sports Grill have combined forces to offer some of the most unique entertainment to be offered anywhere along the sale route. It's an all out invitation to come see and be a part of an "Old West Robbery & Shoot Out"!
(Check out the flyer at the link to the left.) They are offering 3 shows at the
Jamestown Sports Grill in Jamestown, TN on Aug. 7, 8 and 9 at 4:00, 6:00 and 8:00PM each day with Danielle and Major performing tricks for those in attendance on Aug. 7 & 9 at 5:00 and 7:00PM. The
Jamestown Jamboree (Aug. 9) and Fentress County Fair (Aug. 11-16) will also be offering entertainment to those in the area over the weekend and next week.
Even though school may well be heading back in session in most of the country, according to the weather, summer is still far from over. The lake, hills and hollers are beconing you to come get away from the everyday routine before winter sets in all too soon. There are still many events coming throughout the remainder of summer and into the fall with fairs in Scott County and Cumberland County over the next few weeks too. The lake is still quite warm and will be for a while. Trails are in good shape all around for the horses and ATV's. Campgrounds are a great way to get back to nature - some even offer campsites and cabins (those that want the great outdoors can enjoy it, but those that want a little less of the natural experience can sleep snuggly indoors without missing out on everything). The options are many.
Remember, we are less than 8 hours away from the majority of the most populated areas of the United States....many much less. So, we hope you can visit soon!
