Well, we are in the midst of the "dog days of summer".  The children have been out of school long enough to become bored with their summer routines, yet not quite ready for the "back to school" commercials bombarding us all on the television, internet and everywhere we turn.   Before children and adults alike have to focus more of their attention on the everyday activities of acedemic life, get out and enjoy some of the great activities being held in the Dale Hollow Lake and Big South Fork regions.   This Friday and Saturday, you can come out and enjoy the Overton County Fair in Livingston, TN; the "Let's Get Dirty" event at the Pine Knot Raceway; or enjoy the Upper Cumberland Cajun Day at Highland Manor Winery (only on Saturday).  Beginning Aug. 7, the 127 Corridor Sale kicks of the marathon yard sales across TN & KY on Hwy. 127.  Followed by the Jamestown Jamboree (Aug. 9) and Fentress County Fair (Aug. 11-16) with more events still to come throughout the month of August and beyond.

So if you are looking for an opportunity to get out of your ordinary routine, come to the Dale Hollow Lake and Big South Fork regions and experience some good old fashioned country fun.  While you're here, check out the many water recreation and trail opportunities.  If you don't have time to enjoy everything now, just schedule another visit, or 2, or 3, or more!  We're always happy to see you visit!
