Each year, on what is invariably the coldest, wettest day of the December, my family celebrates what we like to call the Festival of the Lights. I gather a few reluctant elves (my children) and we "joyfully" string Christmas lights on the dozen or so twenty foot pine trees in our yard.
Each year, as our fingers grow numb and we can't feel our toes we say "Next year we are going to do this in November when it is warmer and dry." But it wouldn't be the Festival of the Lights if we didn't do it in the freezing cold. It's a tradition!
I love holiday traditions. The lights, the trees, the cookies, the beautiful carols....did I mention the cookies? As my kids grow older and step out on their own, they hold tighter and tighter to family traditions. They want the same decorations, the same food, the same people and the same progression of events. They don't want anything new, they only want the familiar.
The more they step into their future, the tighter they hold onto their past.
I understand how they feel. The world is changing so rapidly that I too hold onto the values that are the cornerstone of our practice. Our commitment to the highest quality affordable care. Our commitment to getting to know you and helping you achieve the best possible dental health. In these uncertain times, we are here for you!
We hope you have a Blessed Holiday Season, filled with Joy, Peace and Hope for a Bright Tomorrow.
From our family to yours, Merry, Merry Christmas!
