late summer 2008 a grateful heart

I thank you God for this amazing day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees and a blue true dream of sky:and for everything which is natural which is infinite which is yes - E.E. Cummings

Greetings!,
Over the last few years I have developed my own summer ritual. It is one of appreciation; a time when I consciously note all that I am grateful for and appreciative of in this life.
So, I am taking this moment to share my heartfelt gratitude with you, a member of my community. Whether you are a close friend, client, family member or someone I haven't actually had the pleasure of meeting yet, thank you for your interest in my practice and my life. I appreciate you and thank you for being a part of this world.

The next Healing From the Core workshop will be offered over two Sunday afternoons - September 28th & October 5th
Wouldn't it be nice to easily be able to identify and
nurture a variety of healthy resources for yourself and have more to
draw on in any moment?
These are just some of the skills that are taught in the Overview to Healing From the Core Grounding and Healthy Boundaries
workshop.
Learning
the how to be more comfortable in my own body and be in
deeper connection with myself and the amazing energy fields of the
world, has allowed me to make many changes necessary to
recreate myself and my life into an experience of feeling alive,
healthy, happy, abundant and fulfilled.
This 8 hour workshop, taught by Amelia Mitchell, CMT, is a chance to slow down and get to know your body and your energy systems in a new way. Our time together includes guided explorations, lecture, question and answer periods and experiential exercises as well as a detailed study guide. CEU's are available. CranioSacral Therapy
|
|
The childbearing year is quite an undertaking for the entire family. CranioSacral Therapy with Laura Mitchell, CMT, CST is a gentle and effective way to help newborns and children with some common challenges. Laura has great success with Reflux, Breastfeeding issues and Colic, to name just a few. She is also a great resource for older children dealing with attention deficit challenges or other learning issues.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is an advanced hands-on therapy that supports the body's own healing, self-regulating mechanisms. Using very light pressure, generally 5 grams (weight of a nickel) or less, CranioSacral Therapy reveals restrictions and lesions in the tissue which the body has been unable to release on its own. The therapist takes their clues from the body, following it's lead as to how it needs to release and return to health.
The trip down the birth canal sets many processes in motion, and when that trip is difficult, or cancelled due to a C-Section, additional challenges result for the baby. CranioSacral Therapy addresses them gently and promptly, allowing the body to return to health, instead of developing compensation patterns and additional issues down the road.
There are very few contraindications
to CST; aneurysm, acute intracranial hemorrhage, and other
conditions where altering intracranial fluid pressure is not recommended.
Laura Inman-Mitchell, CMT, CST has been in practice for 8 years, with a specialty in CranioSacral Therapy for the last 6 years. She is a state and nationally certified massage therapist, who continues her extensive studies in the following fields: CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, Pediatric CST and Equine CST as well as Lymph Drainage Therapy, Full Body Presence and Therapeutic Presence.
Laura is one of the Integrative Specialists at Chesapeake Holistic Health Center and can be reached at 410-570-7245.

Albert Einstein once said, "There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. Today we celebrate the miracle."
What a miracle it all is. Thank you for your part in this amazing miracle of co-creation!
Many Blessings,

p.s. Apparently it is correct to spell E.E. Cummings' name with capital letters these days, I did some research to be sure. And since I enjoy playing with capitalization at times, I wanted to be sure I represented Mr. Cumming's name as he preferred. He never had it legally changed to e.e. cummings.
