10th Anniversary Celebration: A Shepherd Among Us

Friday, November 14, 2008
6:30pm
Girard College, 2101 S. College Ave. Phila., PA

This original music piece for mass choir commemorates the life and work of the Church of the Advocate's legendary activist and priest, Father Paul M. Washington.

Under the direction of master-keyboardist J. Donald Dumpson, this premiere concert will feature Hannibal Lokumbe's-own New York-based quintet, the Clayton White Singers, Bright Hope Baptist Church's Celestial Choir, and members of The African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas, the Chancel Choir.

Special honorees include hip-hop recording artists The Roots, who performed at Art Sanctuary's very first event.
