 Harvest at the Farm

Tractor  
Celebrate fall at the farm in the Zoo! Get a farmer's eye view from the seat of a tractor and look for a needle in a haystack.  Join us for harvest-related activities for the whole family.
 
 

Boo at the Zoo
October 15-17, 22-24, 28-30             6:00PM-9:00PM 
Zoo members: $5/adult; $3/child

Pumpkin from last year's Boo at the ZooThere's enough fun for everyone at Buttonwood Park's Boo at the Zoo! Thrills and chills! Frights and sights! Join us at Boo at the Zoo for an evening of Halloween fun!  Climb aboard for a spoooooky wagon ride ($1/ride), train ride ($1/ride) or take a bewitching carousel ride ($2/ride)! Crafts, activities, and slightly scary fun for all ages! Read On.

Bear Cub Club
Tuesdays. Oct. 12 to Nov. 16                 10:30AM-noon
Members:  $65/child; $30 for second child
Non-members:  $95/child; $45 for second child

 
Bear CubRun in conjunction with the I.H. Schwartz Center Early Intervention Program, this integrated playgroup is for 2 and 3-year-olds and a parent.  Each day features a visit to an area of the zoo, animal stories and songs, craft projects and a healthy snack.  For more information or to register, please call

Toe Jam Puppet Band
Every Monday  10:30AM and 12:30PM
Zoo admission + $5/family

Sing and swing with New Bedford's favorite, the Toe Jam Puppet Band. 
Please note: No Toe Jam performance on Columbus Day, October 11 .

Milking cow
Toddler Tales
Every Thursday at 10:30AM
Free with zoo admission

Enjoy a zooper fun story time at the Zoo!  Toddler Tales is free with zoo admission and includes a snack and craft/activity.  Recommended for ages 3-5.

Buttonwood Park Zoo is open every day (except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day) from 10:00am- 5:00pm.  Gates close at 4:30pm.
