Toe Jam Puppet Band Creative Arts Playgroup

Every Monday                                     10:30AM  and 12:30PM

Cost: Zoo admission plus $5/family

 

Sing, dance and play the hour away with New Bedford's favorite, The Toe Jam Puppet Band!

 

 

Toddler Tales

Every Thursday                                   10:30AM

Cost: Free with zoo admission

 

Enjoy a zooper fun story time at the zoo! Toddler Tales is free with zoo admission and includes a snack and a craft/activity. Recommended for ages 3 - 5.

 

 

Indoor Monkey Business

Every Friday                                         1:00PM-4:00PM

Cost: Zoo admission + $5/family

   
Join us for our open play Fridays.  This is a great way to wrap up the school week with a quick visit with the animals and an afternoon of games, toys and puzzles. We'll provide the toys, you provide the monkeys! 
 

 

Bear Cub Club 

Tuesdays, March 9-April 13              10:30AM-noon

Cost: Members:  $65/child; $30 for second child

Non-members:  $95/child; $45 for second child

  

Run in conjunction with the Schwartz Center Early Intervention Program, this integrated playgroup is for 2 and 3-year-olds and a parent.  Each day features a visit to an area of the Zoo, animal stories and songs, craft projects and a healthy snack. Zoo Explorers: The Missing Apple

Cost: Zoo admission plus $5/family

 
Does your 3 to 5-year-old love Dora and Diego? Then join us for this real life mini-adventure at the zoo. Help the zoo staff follow the trail of the apple thief. Please dress for the weather.
 
 

It's Not Easy Being Green Fun Sheet

Wednesday, March 17                         all day

Cost: Free with zoo admission

 
Have you ever wondered how many green things exist at the zoo? Pick up a parent and preschooler sheet at the front desk and see how many you can find.  A small green prize awaits at the end.

 

 

Scrapbooking Workshop

Saturday, March 20                1-4PM

Cost: Zoo admission + $5/participant

 

Join us for an afternoon of scrapbooking and create a special zoo themed make-and-take for beginners or bring your own supplies for open scrapbooking. Participants of all experiences are welcome and are asked to bring their scrapbooking supplies and/or at least 5-10 pictures.  Participants are asked to pre-register by calling (508) 991-4556 x 18 or by visiting www.bpzoo.org.

 

 

                  

The Buttonwood Park Zoological Society (BPZS), a private, non-profit organization, was founded in 1969 to support the Buttonwood Park Zoo (BPZ) so that the Zoo will be a significant contributor to the conservation of nature both at home and throughout the world.  
 
Buttonwood Park Zoo (BPZ) features over 250 animals and 30 exhibits, including elephants, bison, mountain lions, bears, eagles, seals, otters, and farm animals.  BPZ is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and has been called "one of the finest small zoos in the United States" by that organization.

It is open daily, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
