Images of Mesoamerica: Tzotziles and the Aztec Dancers, a cultural photography exhibition by Adelina Pérez del Castillo opened on August 22, 2008 at A Woman's Story Gallery of the Empowered Women International at Whole Foods Fair Lakes store in Fairfax, VA. The exhibition celebrates the Hispanic Heritage Month and the many extraordinary contributions immigrants made to the United States.
 
A passionate photographer and a native of Mexico City, Adelina Pérez del Castillo is interested in using photography to explore the world's cultures, while preserving and promoting her Mexican cultural heritage. Read more

The ARTIST'S ABC: Ignite Your Passion for Art and Entrepreneurship, and Realize Your Potential
 
Starting Sept 30, 6:30-9 PM in Alexandria, VA

 
 
A dynamic and interactive 8-week training program in art business, marketing strategies and entrepreneurship for emerging and mid-career artists of all media including art educators and creative entrepreneurs. 
 
The workshops are energizing and inspiring, and filled with practical business knowledge and skills, personal learning experience, art business resources and hand-outs, role-plays, peer-review, marketing strategies and portfolio review opportunities. 
 
Tuition for 8-week Art Business Course: $425/person
