Friday, September 29, 2006, 6-9 PM

Come and celebrate the opening of A Woman Story Gallery, a store that primarily promotes immigrant women’s art and educates foreign-born and American artists in entrepreneurial skills for the arts market.

The gallery carries the art of over 25 artist members from around the world and the US, tells their stories and sells their one of a kind wearable art, jewelry, sculptures, home accessories and handmade note cards.

Guests of Honor: Bill Euille, Mayor of Alexandria & Ken Moore, President & CEO the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce.

As part of the program, EWI will honor with the 2006 Empowered Women International Awards two great organizations that have helped us sustain our work: The Giving Circle of Hope and The Alexandria Commission for the Arts

Complimentary mouth-watering delights & chocolate. Cash Bar available to guests. Checks and credit cards welcome! The event is sponsored in part by Artfully Chocolate, Paolo Restaurant in Reston, and individual donors and volunteers.
