Greetings!
Performance Evaluation of Exhaust Insulation - how do different insulation products stack up against one-another |
|
We would like to share with you an independent study
presented by one of our customers during a recent
mining symposium held in Toronto.
The study, by Catalytic Exhaust Products, compares 4
different types of Firwin insulation products in the
following areas: thermal insulation performance, heat
transfer, insulation surface temperatures and rock
impact damage to the surface of insulation.

Firwin jumps into Social Media |
|
More and more people are using 'social media' to
communicate, not just in their personal lives, but also
for business. As such, Firwin Corp has taken its first
steps into the world of 'web 2.0', with the launching of
our Facebook account.

Product Spotlight - Spray Shields |
|
Flanges and Valves, while frequently wrapped
because of heat-related issues such as heat
containment and personnel safety against burns,
have a separate concern - the possiblity of corrosive
chemicals or highly pressurized liquid being released
as the result of a leak. Firwin's Spray Shields offers
industrial users some unique features to help guard
against such mishaps.

MinExpo Interview - Issues in Underground Mining |
|
Shot at last year's MinExpo in Las Vegas, this video
interview with Firwin's president Paul Herman
discusses the challenges of exhaust insulation in the
underground mining environment.

President's Greeting |
|
Welcome to the Winter 2009 issue of Firwin's
industry
newsletter, Insulation Insights. In this issue,
we share with you a study done by one of our
customers, on the performance of various insulation
products that Firwin offers. In our product spotlight, an
overview of our Spray Shields that are helping
companies in industrial settings guard against leaky
valves and flanges. Plus, a look at our first steps into
the world of "social marketing", and a video that was
shot at last year's Minexpo, that we have made
available to the public.
As always, feel free to email me directly with any
comments or suggestions you may have.
Paul Herman, President, Firwin Corp
