 Green Tip

As temperatures drop, the use of wood stoves and fireplaces increases and so does air pollution throughout the northwest.

Wood smoke is the prime culprit driving spikes in sooty, toxic air that's leaving area residents gasping for breath. Tacoma has an estimated 60,000 wood burning devices. The health costs associated with burning wood may make you think twice about how you heat your home.
