Greetings!
We might complain about the weather most of the time, but
here in the U.K. we're fortunate to live in an environment that
experiences four distinct seasons. The deciduous trees in
particular provide a visual reminder that life moves in
cycles.... they're dormant in the winter, burst into life in the
spring, come to fulness in the summer, and distribute their
bounty in the autumn.
Each year the pattern looks the same, yet there is a deeper
process at work too - some underlying growth has taken place,
barely perceptible from one year to the next, but over time it
becomes readily apparent. And I'm sure that something similar
takes place for humans.

In homeopathy, a lot of attention is paid to what is known as
‘the direction of cure’. This is based on the understanding that
when a person is recovering from a disease state, the ‘cure’
will tend to follow a certain pattern or sequence. The most
recent symptoms to appear, for example, will often be the first
to subside.
What I noticed in my practice work over a number of years
was that another, parallel process was unfolding in the lives of
many people that I worked with, which perhaps could be called
‘the direction of healing’. I use the word ‘healing’ here because
of its original meaning which pertains to wholeness.......
