Fabric Focus - PVC-Free Solutions
Concerned about off-gasing that may be an issue with PVC products, but still need the performance and durability of a classic vinyl? Grand Rapids Chair together with Momentum Textiles, offers a selection of graded-in, 100%
polyurethane, PVC-free products that fit the bill.
High-tech polyurethane is a performance fabric made from PU
resin which is then coated to a substrate or backing fabric. The resulting product is very durable, has a soft texture and is
easily cleanable.
The reflective surfaces and subtle embossing on Canter, Icon, Paragon and Rebel patterns, create depth, sophistication and uniquely distinctive looks. Used alone, these designs add panache to the interior. When coordinated with a woven, they act as an accent with a hint of sparkle and texture.
Icon,
Paragon and Rebel are manufactured with ResilienceSP protective
finish, enhancing performance where it's needed most: stain resistance,
anti-microbial and anti-bacterial protection and abrasion resistance.
Resilience is not visible and does not affect the hand of the material, but is
engineered to last even after repeated cleaning and wear. Materials using
Resilience are crafted for the most demanding healthcare and hospitality
applications.
Canter is manufactured with an anti-microbial and anti-bacterial finish, making it an easy choice for high-traffic areas where infection control is a concern. It's the perfect solution for those seeking the classic look of leather but require the performance of a polyurethane.
These patterns can be found on the Breath of Fresh Air sample card in our binder. You can also see the color offerings and learn more by visiting the Finishes & Materials section of our website.
