Tails Will Be Wagging At Adopt A Golden When YEAH! BURGER Donates On January 24

Ten percent of today's sales at YEAH! BURGER in Virginia Highland will go straight to Adopt a Golden Atlanta rescue program for golden retrievers. The Virginia Highland location throws a weekly "Feel Good Tuesday" promotion and passes 10 percent of the day's sales to a varying cause or charity. The January 24 beneficiary is Adopt a Golden whose Atlanta organization is the second-largest golden retriever rescue in the nation.

Top dogs on the menu are grass-fed beef or bison burgers, all-natural turkey or veggie burgers and all-natural grilled chicken breast sandwiches on your choice of bun with your choice of toppings and sauce. Hot dogs earn "attaboys" as well:  the Coleman Natural grass-fed, nitrate-free hot dogs can be prepared as the classic, the Southern dog with pimento cheese and hot Alabama relish, the chili and cheese dog or the slaw dog. Why be all bark and no bite?  Order a burger or hot dog to help a golden with a cold, wet nose.

Color Your Week With Aqua blue's
Blue Plate Special

There is no rule dictating the shade of blue for a blue plate special. Choosing the Aqua blue $25 three-course, blue plate special can save you some green, gold and silver. The prix fixe menu changes monthly and always offers a choice of appetizer, entre and dessert for $25 per person (not including tax or gratuity).

Through February 20, appetizer choices include AB calamari with sweet chili sauce, tempura green beans with sweet mustard dipping sauce, seared pork dumpling or hand-made sushi roll. Entres feature hardwood-grilled N.Y. strip with roast sweet potato, asparagus and Madeira wine reduction; hand-battered fish and chips of Alaskan cod with house-made slaw; and jumbo shrimp jambalaya with sea scallops and Prestige Farms chicken. Desserts include house-made bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream; chocolate molten cake with a liquid center and vanilla ice cream; and fruit sorbet, house made with fresh, seasonal fruit. With so many tempting combination possibilities, aqua will become our favorite shade of blue.
