HOORAY FOR THE RED,
WHITE AND BREW! MARLOW'S TAVERN SERVES
ALL-AMERICAN EATS AND CHANCE TO WIN BIG GREEN EGG! Atlantans can dive into a star-spangled summer at all six Marlow's Tavern locations as the all-American
tavern unfurls a six-week-long "Red, White and Brew" menu, available through
July 26. The casual menu starts with a
light-for-summer beer and cheese soup; watermelon, feta and arugula salad; fiery
deviled eggs with pimento cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, fresh herbs and firecracker
sauce; chili-slathered corn on the cob with secret seasoning; a backyard "brat"
melt with grilled beer bratwurst, glazed Vidalia onion, red peppers, Creole
sauce and Swiss cheese on marbled rye; and a red, white and bleu burger that
heaps red pepper, Vidalia onion, Maytag bleu cheese on a toasted onion bun ($3-$12). Heartier appetites will make peace with honey-glazed
grilled chicken served with fingerling potatoes and chili-slathered corn on the
cob or Marlow's grilled skewer of Pacific swordfish, jumbo shrimp, black-peppered
pineapple, red onion, red peppers, mango-apple chutney and chili-slathered corn
on the cob ($16 -$18). Who can resist
sweet berry shortcake with balsamic-glazed strawberries, raspberries and
blueberries and vanilla-scented mascarpone cream ($6)? Hot Atlanta days and nights are a great build
up for a cold local brew like SweetWater 420 or a specialty beverage such as a "summertime"
watermelon margarita or Tommy's favorite sangria. During
its Red, White & Brew celebration, Marlow's is saluting the all-American
pastime of grilling with a recipe contest. The top prize is a Big Green Egg! Guests can order Marlow's grilled favorites and submit a recipe for
their own signature grilled dishes during the first annual Marlow's Tavern grilling
recipe contest. Submit recipes online at
www.marlowstavern.com or fill out an
entry form at one of the six tavern locations. Entries will be accepted through July 27. Executive Chef John Metz will review all
recipes and determine the winners by August 15, 2010. Winners will then be notified by phone or
email. No purchase is necessary for
guests to enter this contest, and entries are limited to one per person or e-mail
address. The winner snags a Big Green
Egg and the honor of having their recipe featured on Marlow's fall/winter menu. Proceeds from the sale of the winning recipe
will be donated in the winner's name to Special Olympics Georgia. The second-place
winner takes home a $50 Marlow's Tavern gift card, and the third-place winner
can don a Marlow's Tavern "Red, White and Brew" limited-edition t-shirt.

DOE-REY-ME-FA-SO-LA-TEE-DOE? NOT QUITE.
TRY SEORABEOL, THIS YELPER'S NEW FAVORITE 24/7 KOREAN "RESTO"
It's comforting to know, thanks to Yelper Robert M.,
that there is a friendly place to go for yummy Korean dishes -- 24/7. SeoRaBeol. Music to our hungry ears! Falls into my
favorite Korean resto list instantly...and 24 hours at that...bonus! The
usual assortment of banchan was plentiful, fresh, crisp and very good. It
had all my favs like Oiji, Ggakdugi and Musaengchae.
4 orders of Galbi cooked over wood coals (if you are in a grill room)....very
very tender, barely any fatty pieces and not a bite left. The Dwen Jang Jjigae
had a nice deep flavor and was a good way to finish off the meal.
Service was exceptional, everything was prompt and friendly. Might be on
the pricey side but worth it to me.
SeoRaBeol: 3040 Steve Reynolds Boulevard; 770-497-1155.
