What's New? We Are! Check Out Our New Logo!

We are thrilled to announce and present our new PFLAG Phoenix chapter logo. We're retiring our old "cowboy" logo in favor of this new logo that we feel better represents our Phoenix chapter. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank Dave Fish at KEO Marketing for his superb design work -- we simply went to him. said we'd like a new logo that represents our Phoenix chapter better than our cowboy did, that we were interested in the mythical Phoenix bird, and this is what Dave created from scratch! Amazing! We hope you agree. If you do, let us know (and, if you don't agree, let us know that too). But don't worry, that's all that has changed. Because at PFLAG Phoenix, we're still . . . .

New Team: Meet Our Familias del Arco Iris Group Leaders
Our inaugural PFLAG Phoenix Familias del Arco Iris (Rainbow Families) support group meeting will be held this coming Wednesday, March 3rd, from 7:00pm-9:00pm at First Congregational United Church of Christ on 2nd Street just south of McDowell Road in Phoenix. This will be Arizona's first bilingual/Spanish-speaking PFLAG support group, and we are truly excited at the prospects for this new group.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank (pictured left to right) Ernesto Ortiz, Arnaldo Maldonado, Liana Rowe, Sal and Mary Rosales, as well as Delmi Ortega, Jose' Olagues, and Mike Crum for all their work in bringing this new group to the Valley's long-neglected Hispanic community. |
New Needs: We Need Some New Volunteers
Looking to meet some great new people, expand your skill sets, or just help out at PFLAG Phoenix? We've just listed some of our most-needed volunteeer roles. From a chapter president and chapter secretary to coordinators for our volunteers, our telephone helpline, our Speakers Bureau, and more, we've probably got a good spot open for you. Please check out our list, and if anything interests you, please let us know!
Oh, and we're still looking for a little extra help at our PFLAG support meetings. If you can help us out there, we'd sure appreciate it! Just ask the group facilitator how you can assist at that location. |
