"THANKS-giving"

as we share our LOVE, APPRECIATION, and "THANKS!"
 to a beloved PFLAG Phoenix couple, Ruth and Ray Grove,
while also bidding them a fond farewell
 as they prepare to relocate to North Carolina.

If you've ever volunteered alongside Ruth and Ray over their many years of community service here in Arizona, or if you have been the recipient of their love, their compassion, or simply their many good works, please come and share your appreciation and fond memories with us on this special evening.  Whether you know them through all their tremendous work at PFLAG Phoenix, their tireless work in the local HIV/AIDS community, and/or through their shining example to GLBT and straight persons of faith, we'd love you to come share your reflections on this wonderful, loved and much-respected couple.

If you haven't interacted with them directly, or if you don't know them at all, we invite you to come and be inspired by their loving examples of support, education, and advocacy to and on behalf of the GLBT community and the larger community around us.  We promise that you'll walk away inspired and energized, and that you will recognize, as we do, the tremendous shoes that will need to be filled upon their departure to the greener hills of North Carolina (where they'll soon be spending much-deserved quality time with one of their daughters and their grandchildren).

For this special evening, we'll have a "pot-luck" of mini-desserts and other refreshments -- please feel free to bring a finger-food style dessert of your own!  We'll celebrate Ruth and Ray, we'll share many hugs and well wishes with them, and we'll all experience a wonderful night of
 "THANKS-giving"!
