TONIGHT: An Exceptional Impossible Woman Indeed!
It's been far too long since we have had local "transgender trailblazer" and author Millye Carter-Bloodworth come and speak at PFLAG Phoenix. TONIGHT, we are honored to have Millye, author of "The Exceptional Impossible Woman Indded", as our special guest speaker.
Millye is a well-known advocate and counselor who specializes in GLBT issues in addition to being a Certified Diversity Mediator, a life skills coach, and a mentor. Millye will be speaking tonight at our central PFLAG support group at 7:00pm. Millye will be here to "Turn Back the Pages of Time", sharing about GLBT history in Phoenix and the Valley of the Sun. We hope you will join us for a fun, educational and enlightening discussion. |
PFLAG Phoenix Needs Your $upport - Join/Renew Today
Please join/renew your membership with PFLAG Phoenix today! We're working hard to put PFLAG out of business -- the sooner, the better! Unfortunately, we are still very much needed here in our community and throughout Arizona. Your financial support will go a long way in helping us fulfill our mission of support, education, and advocacy. Thanks!

Missing: Our PFLAG Phoenix "Print" Newsletter
You may have noticed that our PFLAG Phoenix "print" newsletter has been "missing in action" of late. During her rrecent summer break, our beloved newsletter editor, Carolyn, decided it was time to pull the plug on her keyboard, and has since announced her "retirement" as editor-in-chief. While we are saddened by her departure from this role, we are thrilled to know that Carolyn isn't moving away or disappearing from PFLAG Phoenix.
In the meantime, the Board is exploring our options including whether to retire the "print" newsletter format in favor of newer online technologies. Stay tuned for more news on this front.
And, before we conclude our e-newsletter today, we want to extend a gracious and heartfelt "THANKS!" to Carolyn for the outstanding job she has done for us these past several years to keep us all informed. Job well done, my friend! |
