One major component is the development of a multi-dimensional annual performance review for educator preparation.
Model Educator Evaluation System The Office of Educator Quality will seek approval from the State Board of Education at its June meeting to conduct a full-scale pilot project using the state's new model educator evaluation system for the 2012-2013 school year. Goal #4 - The Department will improve efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Missouri Disability Determination Services Supports National Workload This past year, Missouri Disability Determination Services (DDS) assisted with the disability workload from other states, while meeting or exceeding national workload goals. A rise in the number of individuals applying for first-time benefits nationally has created the need for state-to-state assistance. By the end of federal fiscal year 2012, Missouri DDS will have assisted with over 6,000 cases from other states and are compensated for every Social Security Disability claim processed. Missouri DDS is a highly effective and efficient agency, consistently ranking within the top ten states nationally on multiple performance indicators.
Increased Navigability for Data Portal The Department has added two new tabs to the Missouri Comprehensive Data System Portal to help increase the navigability of data reports. The 'Missouri Dashboard' tab links directly to the Department's Top 10 by 20 monitoring dashboard. The 'A-Z Index' tab directs individuals to an alphabetical listing of alternate data report names to easily locate available guided inquiry reports. In the future, the Department plans to expand the A-Z Index to include the 'Quick Facts' and 'Advanced Inquiry' sections as well.
