Delgado Community College is proud to announce the 2012 nominees for the annual Seymour Weiss Excellence in Teaching Award, the highest honor the College bestows upon its faculty.

Delgado Baseball Season Opens  


Delgado's baseball team opened its season with a first pitch from Interim Chancellor Deborah Lea and a win over Bishop State Community College on Feb. 9. Overall, the team finished their opening weekend with a record of 3-2.

2012 Grainger Scholarship Winners

Delgado congratulates Residential Electrician student Patsy Dominique and Automotive Technology student Tracy Nguyen, winners of the 2012 Grainger scholarships. Grainger, an international leader in industrial maintenance, repair and operations, annually recognizes technical education students with a minimum 3.0 grade-point-average and a record of community involvement.

Museum Exhibit Highlights Delgado Artists  

Faculty & Staff 

Ogden After Hours at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art featured the artwork of Delgado faculty, staff and students on Feb. 9.
The works were created under the direction of New Orleans artist Gina Phillips in collaboration with the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Irma Thomas Center for W.I.S.E. Women and the Division of Arts & Humanities at Delgado Community College in a workshop project called P.O.W.! (Philips, Ogden and the Women's Center).

Park at Delgado for the Endymion Parade   


Delgado's Alumni Association will host its annual parking fundraiser during the Endymion parade, Feb. 18.  All funds raised will help fund scholarships and special projects at Delgado.  Gates open at 9 a.m. and portable toilets will be available during the parade.
