Greetings!

The Holidays are behind us and soon football season will come to an end. What to do with all that spare time? Let's go diving! It's time to pull out your dive gear and get ready for the coming dive season.

Many divers refuse to go diving unless the water is 85 degrees, but for those that brave the cooler temperatures, they will be pleasantly surprised with the fish life and good visibility we can experience in the Gulf, this time of year.

A few of us from the dive shop dove this past Sunday (January 22). In 60 feet of water, you could see the bottom from the surface. I won't lie, it was cold, 63 degrees, but the amazing water clarity and the abundance and variety of fish life made the cold water bearable (along with a good wetsuit). Here are a couple of videos, one was taken on Christmas Day and the other on January 22. Each of the videos has a little bit of spearfishing and the hogfish that were taken were delicious!
