Support Solar For All 

Thanks to you, AB 1990 "Solar for All" (Fong) passed favorably out of the Assembly. Your calls and emails made the difference! Now it heads to the Senate on July 3, and we need YOUR HELP again!

Solar For All will build renewable energy into low-income neighborhoods, create thousands of green jobs and put us all on the path to cleaner air. Sign our online petition today and call Chair of the Energy Committee, Senator Padilla (916-651-4020) and Committee member Senator Kehoe (916-651-4039) to pass AB 1990!  

   

Squash Dirty Power Plants  

Two proposed natural gas plants threaten open space, clean air and renewable energy in San Diego - one near University City and one next to Mission Trails Regional Park. Both have public hearings this week, and we need YOUR HELP!

Contact City Leadership
Call or Email Mayor Sanders and City Council to tell them we don't need any new fossil fuel plants in San Diego. Urge them to oppose the proposed plants near University City and Mission Trails.

  • June 27, 9 a.m. at San Diego City Council Rules Committee on the University City Plant, City Hall, 202 'C' St, 12th Floor:The Rules Committee is hearing the Mayor's secret proposal to rush the University City plant onto the November ballot. Come tell the Committee we don't need a fossil fuel plant in University City or anywhere! Read this flyer for more information. 
  • June 28, 9 a.m. at City of San Diego Planning Commission Meeting on "Quail Brush" Plant at Mission Trails Park, City Hall, 202 C Street, 12th Floor:The Planning Commission is considering a Community Plan amendment to allow rezoning from open space/residential to industrial, a first step in approving the power plant. Come tell the Commission to vote NO on rezoning because you want to protect Mission Trails and clean air. Learn more at SaveMissionTrails.org.
