Healthy Kids need Healthy Communities to thrive

Dear EHC Friends and Supporters,

Industries in and around Old Town National City emit 23,000 pounds of air toxics each year, many of which are linked to diseases like asthma, cancer, and reproductive illness. Most of the pollution comes from more than 30 auto body shops that operate near homes and schools in the neighborhood.

Right now, during our Spring Fundraising Campaign you can help Environmental Health Coalition improve the health of kids in National City and other communities. In 2010 National City approved a plan to reduce toxic air pollution, increase affordable housing, and restore the health of National City. EHC leaders were instrumental in the creation of the Westside Plan. Now, we need your help to make sure the City implements the changes.

Thank you so much if you have already contributed to our campaign! If you have not yet donated, for as little as $25 you can help pay for food and childcare so EHC Community Leaders can attend planning meetings with City officials.

A generous donation of $1,000 will support EHC's Environmental Justice Community Fair where we share our work and resources with other communities. No matter what your level of support may be, your donation makes a difference.

We've accomplished so much in the past 30 years, but there is still work to be done. Please invest in the health of a child with a tax-deductible donation to EHC today.
