Children

No child should live in a place that makes them sick

For more than 30 years, Environmental Health Coalition has brought communities together to solve environmental problems that put children's health at risk. From the streets of Tijuana to the homes of Barrio Logan and City Heights, children are healthier thanks to our work and the commitment of supporters like you.

Right now, children of low-income families living in homes built before 1978 are at risk for childhood lead poisoning, the number one environmental health threat to children under 6-years-old. Lead poisoning can result in reduced IQ, learning disabilities, behavioral problems, hyperactivity and other serious health problems.

For as little as $40, you can help fund an EHC Healthy Homes inspection to help parents identify and get rid of lead paint and other potential health hazards in their homes. A generous donation of $500 will support EHC organizers and leaders in the fight for stronger laws to require safe housing for everyone. No matter what your level of support may be, your donation makes a difference.

We've accomplished so much in the past 30 years, but there is still work to be done. Please invest in the health of a child with a tax-deductible donation to EHC today.
