MESSAGE FROM MR. HOGAN.....
God is good!  What a wonderful winter we had.  The good news is that since we did not use any of the three emergency closing days the last day of school will be on Thursday, June 14th.  Students will have a 1:10 a.m. dismissal and hot lunch will be served.  All are invited to the 9:00 a.m. liturgy.  Report cards will be able to be viewed on Churchwerks at 3:00 p.m.

Kindergarten graduation will be held on Wednesday, June 13th at 7:00 pm  in the school gym.
THEY ARE IN OUR PRAYERS.....
We continue to pray for those family and loved ones that have gone before us. Mrs. Lois Letizia, Mr. Bruno DeThomasi, Mr. Peter Galletto, Mr. Joseph Pustizzi, Mr. Herbert Bylone, Mrs. Bernice Apprendi, Mr. Richard Periguini and Mr. Gerald Giordano

If you have a special prayer intention, please email Mr. Hogan at principal@smrschool.org
HOW ARE YOU BUILDING BETHLEHEM ?
Each day, students and families remind us how to spread kindness.  Here are a few notable ones:

Kudos to 7th Grade for all the beautiful Easter cards they made for Bishop McCarthy residents.  The residents certainly enjoyed them.

And how about those Laps for Learning Volunteers! St. Mary School is truly blessed. Everyday, more and more we witness how many lucky we are.  Thank you for all the time and energy you spent helping us mail and record the Laps for Learning program.

Timothy Merghi is a true example of Building Bethlehem Everywhere too!  We received a letter from Tim's swim coach, Mr. John Casadia, Jr. who said that Tim is a pleasure to coach.  He is always the first swimmer to ask how he can help and always lends a hand without even asking.  Way to go Tim! You are a terrific example of "Building Bethelehem Everywhere".

How are you building Bethlehem? Together we can spread our message to the community through our actions and deeds and soon everyone will want to do a good turn for their neighbor.

Please submit your Building Bethlehem Everywhere information to:

Mrs. Carol Kirchman at ckirchman@smrschool.org or Mr. Steven P. Hogan at principal@smrschool.org

ACE BUILDING BLOCKS- ROTARY CLUB
The Vineland Rotary Club is hosting an "ACE" Kids building block competition on Saturday, April 28th from 9:00am to 2:00pm in the school gym.

ACE Kids (Architects, Contractors and Engineers) Building Blocks Competition is guaranteed to be a fun activity for your child.  Only grades 2 through 6 are eligible to participate. Each student will be given 100 building blocks (Lego-type) to build something (non-plant, animal or person) in a 45 minute time period. Judges, who may be architects, contractors or engineers, will review your child's project, interview them individually, and submit their scores to the committee for tally.

We will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner from each grade, and one grand prize winner.  Each grade winner will receive a trophy and the grand prize winner will receive a trophy and a new bicycle from Wal-Mart.

Lunch will be served to each student, and a certificate and t-shirt will be given to each student for their participation.  If your child is interested in participating, please fill out the registration form (sent home earlier this week) in its entirety, and return it to school by Wednesday, April 18th.
