Highlights of December Events
Faith, Family, Fun Night: Over 150 people attended the movie "Polar Express". Parents had the opportunity to drop off their children and go Christmas shopping. Some 7th and 8th graders assisted parents in chaperoning the children who were dropped off. Each child receive a bell to ring to show that they believed in Santa...and when they rang it, Santa appeared, bearing gifts for all of the children. We collected 91 pairs of pajamas that were paired up with books from Scholastic and donated to local shelters in our area.
Santa's Workshop: The children all seemed to have a wonderful experience at Santa's Workshop. The buddy system was very helpful to assist some of the younger students with their shopping. Between items from the company, Kids Go Shopping, those purchased by the PTA, Littlest Angel, Barbera's Chocolate on Occassion, $5 TRIP gift cards, and items donated by parishoner, Leslie Barretta, the children had a wide range of gifts to select from for that "special person". The event raised $926.29 for St. Mary's School.
Classroom Parties: The children had a wonderful experience celebrating Christmas with their classmates. The students enjoyed making crafts with their buddies. Thank you to all of the parents who donated items for the party and gave of their time to assist in the classrooms.

Fundraisers!
Last year's PTA survey revealed that parents did not want more than four fundraisers a year. Thus, the PTA Board asks you to please support these four fundraisers which, if successfully supported by you and our community, will result in the PTA meeting our goal to raise $60,000 for our children.
The PTA Board has worked very hard to design a plan for fundraising that meets the expectations expressed in the survey by our parents; provides an opportunities for everyone to get involved in fundraising (adults and children); supports the building of the community of St. Mary's; and is cost effective to maximize the profits for our children.
Remember, YOUR CHILD directly benefits from your support of these fundraisers. Some of the benefits to our children and families this year from PTA fundraising include: Welcome Back Breakfast, Kindgergarten Parent Social, New/Mentor Family Social, and the School/Parish Halloween Party.
Each of our fundraisers is unique.
