BUILDING BETHLEHEM EVERYWHERE
During the Christmas season there are many examples all around us on how we continue to "Build Bethlehem."  The eighth grade students made ornaments for our Grandparents' Association for Christmas.  The students in 5th, 6th and 7th grades made cookies to be delivered with meals to senior citizens on Christmas Day.  Mr. Saglimbeni,  Mr. & Mrs. Hoffner and the Kirchman family along with many St. Padre Pio parish members took time out of their Christmas celebration to cook, package and deliver meals to those same seniors.  The folks  were very appreciative of the dinners and loved the cookies too! Finally, we would like to share with you this letter from one of our Kindergarten families to the 8th Grade.

December 22, 2011

Dear 8th Grade Students,

We are so happy to hear about your idea to help children in need this Christmas with your toy donation program.  What a wonderful way to Build Bethlehem!

For the month of December, Annalise has been honoring an "Advent Sacrifice".  Each day she does not get an ice cream in the cafeteria, she has put $1.00 in a cup.  Together as a family, we decided that once Christmas comes, Annalise can take this money and donate it to someone who could use it.

We were unsure who to give her "sacrifice" to... Then, we received your letter about your toy donation.  Right away, we thought that by giving you the money, you could use that toward your cause.  So, please accept this donation to your toy drive on behalf of our daughter, Annalise.  Through her Advent Sacrifice, we hope that you can help a child enjoy their Christmas.

God Bless.

Most sincerely,
Mr. &  Mrs. Kuppel & Annalise

Let's together keep the spirit going.  How are you "Building Bethlehem Everywhere"?
