HOW ARE YOU BUILDING BETHLEHEM?
Students, faculty and staff have been busy "Building Bethelhem" daily in their actions and deeds. Kindness, hospitality and respect play a big part of it. As a school family, let's join together and "Build Bethlehem" in our homes and around the community.
DECEMBER SPECIAL EVENTS
We have many fun and exciting events happening this month. Be sure to look over the Special Event Flyer that was sent home with dates and times. Make special note that this year all grades will be participating in a Christmas Pageant on December 15th. Pre-K 3 through 2nd grade performance is at 9:30am and 3rd grade through 8th grade is at 1:30 pm.
PTA ACTIVITIES
With the Christmas season upon us, the PTA is busy working on Santa's Workshop, a School/Parish Cookbook, Toy and Clothing Drive, Trip Gift Cards, Faith Family Fun Pajama Drive, and the Wine, Chocolate and Tapas Social to name just a few. There are always so many ways the PTA is involved in "Building Bethlehem" at St. Mary's and in the community.

The Moon Sunshine Warehouse (located at Elmer Road and the Boulevard) Sale is extended until Christmas. Hours are every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. So far the school has received $183.81. Keep on Shoppin'!
THANK YOU!
We want to thank the Ota Family for becoming a paper parent.
ONE OF OUR OWN WINS!
VINELAND HEALTH DEPARTMENT'S ANNUAL POSTER CONTEST

Another fine example of how we "Build Bethlehem Everywhere"

Please join us in congratulating Patrick Coyle in grade three who is one of the top winners out of 325 entries submitted for Vineland's Annual Health Department Poster Contest. Patrick's poster won in the "Hand Washing" category. The winning posters will become colorful illustrations for their annual calendar and will be distributed to over 900 retail food establishments throughout Cumberland County. Be sure to congratulate Patrick on this great achievement.
BAND PROGRAM
Would your child be interested in learning how to play an instrument?  Mr. Hogan would like to pursue an establishment of a band program if there are enough interested students between the grades of 3-8.  Email Mr. Hogan if you think your child would be interested.  You can contact Mr. Hogan at  principal@smrschool.org.
SUPPORT SMS ATHLETIC PROGRAMS
Mr. Hogan is interested in establishing an Athletic Committee for the school. The purpose of the committee is to coordinate and plan all athletic activities, schedules and fundraisers.  The committee will also work to develop and plan new sports programs for the students. The committee would meet once a month for an hour during the school year. This committee would consist of an Athletic Director (Mrs. Wescott), an Assistant Athletic Director, Treasurer, and Secretary along with parent representatives.  All coaches would be considered a part of this committee.  If you would be interested in holding the position of  Assistant Athletic Director, Treasurer, Secretary or parent representative, please contact Mr. Hogan at principal@smrschool.org.
TRIP REMINDER
Order your TRIP Cards for Christmas by December 9th.
Don't forget your Teacher Wish Lists that are on the school website under PTA. A gift card is a great gift for faculty & staff and shopping through the TRIP program is convenient and easy.
REPORT CARD REMINDER
Please sign and return acknowledgement form to each of your children's homeroom teachers. Due by: Friday, December 2nd.

If you should have any questions concerning your child's grades, please contact the teacher. The teachers are more than happy to make themselves available to speak with you.
