CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL VISITATIONS
| Local Catholic high schools have scheduled visitations to St. Mary's School. Sacred Heart High School, Our Lady of Mercy Academy and St. Augustine Preparatory will meet with all seventh and eighth graders during the month of October. The presentations give St. Mary's students a glimpse into high school and continuing their Catholic education.

FIRE PREVENTION WEEK

The East Vineland Fire Department will visit St. Mary's School on Friday, October 14th. Grades Kindergarten through fifth grade will enjoy a demonstration given by members of the fire department. Thank you to the East Vineland Fire Department: God bless you and keep you safe.

WELCOME EVENT FOR NEW FAMILIES

The Welcome Event for New Families will take place on Friday, October 14th, 7:00pm-8:30pm in the school gym. This is a great way to get to know the St. Mary's School Family. Babysitting will be provided.

NEW STUDENTS OPEN HOUSE
| |
An Open House is scheduled for Monday, October 17th from 9:00am-11:00am. Please invite new families to attend the Open House.

| CHEERLEADING | |
Cheerleading practice will begin on Tuesday, October 18th in the school gym from 4:30pm-6:00pm. Any student (Grades 2-8) that would like to join should attend this practice.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
| |
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place Wednesday, October 19th (3:15pm-7:00pm) and Thursday, October 20th (8:00am-12:00pm). These conferences are an important part of student educational development. Parents are encouraged to meet with their child's teacher(s). Teachers will be sending home more information in order for parents to schedule appointments.

PARISH/SCHOOL HALLOWEEN PARTY
| Get ready for a night of fun tricks and treats! The Parish/School Halloween Party is scheduled for Saturday, October 29th in the school gym, 6:00pm-9:00pm. There will be food, candy, crafts,pumpkin decorating, a haunted room, haunted hayride and a DJ. Costumes are required for children attending (up to sixth grade). Don't forget to bring a bag for Trick-or-Treating! Cost is $10 per family. Reservation form can be found on the St. Mary's School website, www.smrschool.org under

CHINESE AUCTION
| The Grandparents' Association Annual Chinese Auction is set for Friday, October 21st in the school gym. There are theme baskets, an iPad2 and many other gifts to win! Doors open at 6:00pm and the auction begins at 7:00pm. The Grandparents' Association does so much for our children. Please come out and support the auction.

If you are interested in being a Paper Parent, it's simple. Just send in $30.00 to St. Mary's Main Office in an envelope marked Paper Parent. Each $30.00 goes towards the purchase of one case of paper.

If your organization would like to utilize our Weekly Communication emails or envelopes please adhere to the following guidelines:
1. All flyers and information must be approved by the Principal.
2. Submittals must be received no later than noon on Monday in a PDF format to be accepted. It will then be transmitted electronically.
3. Email all entries to mainoffice@smrschool.org.
4. Paper copies will not be sent home unless warranted
