NeighborWorks® America creates opportunities for people to live in affordable homes, improve their lives and strengthen their communities. Become a Volunteer in Services to America
NHS is recruiting three new VISTA members for service! Find out more about becoming an AmeriCorps VISTA member and all the great benefits of service in AmeriCorps. Become a part of the positive impact that both AmeriCorps and NeighborWorks America have had on poverty in America. Over the past two years, VISTA members have designed housing floor plans, maintained the NHS website, managed social media, worked with residents in the community, and coordinated a number of events and projects. VISTA members have worked closely with the HomeOwnership Center, staff, the NHS administration, our community building and organizing initiative , resource development, energy efficient rehabilitation projects and affordable housing development. If you are interested in becoming a VISTA member, send a cover letter and resume to Julie Trachtenberg at jtrachtenberg@nhsofnewhaven.org. Deadline for applications are June 10, 2011.
