Timely Training - Regional Economies - Sector Strategies
The Central Region Consortium will help you market your regional or statewide event!

Multiple features have been incorporated into the Central Region Consortium Web site that will allow us to promote regional and statewide events to Central Region Consortium list service members.

Successful Business Speaking was one of the many events posted last year on the home page image rotator with links to the promotional flyer that was created by Merced College's Business Resource Center.

In addition, the Web site's bulletin board allows you to post announcements, events, new programs, partnership and grant opportunities, job openings and more.

If you are interested in posting an event to the image rotator or bulletin board, check out the http://www.crconsortium.com Web site, and contact Sue Clark, Central Region Consortium Project Director.  Office (209-575-6808)  Email (clarks@yosemite.edu)

Van Ton-Quinlivan
Town-Hall Meetings to Engage Community College Leaders in a CRITICAL CONVERSATION

Town-hall meetings are being scheduled throughout the state by Vice Chancellor Van Ton-Quinlivan, Workforce and Economic Development Division, CCCCO, as a way to assist and support the System in activating the Division's Strategic Framework, Doing What Matters for Jobs and the Economy.  (Follow the Vice Chancellor on Twitter @WorkforceVan)

Vice Chancellor Ton-Quinlivan will meet with the Central and Mother Lode Regions on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Merced College Business Resource Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Co-hosting will be Dr. Dennis Gervin, President of Columbia College and member of the Vice Chancellor's EDPAC advisory board.

One of the future strategies within this Framework will be the braiding of SB70, Perkins Leadership, and EWD funding streams to execute on regional sector strategies as is the proposed direction of SB1402, SB1070 and the Perkins V blueprint.

During the meeting, participants will be encouraged to ask questions and share their ideas to facilitate a successful transition.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Community College Presidents/Chancellors, Chief Instructional Officers, Deans, Faculty, Project Directors, Grant Writers, and staff.
