Inclusive Planning Process Leads to
STRATEGIC WORK PLAN PRIORITIES for the
Central Region Consortium in 2012-2013

George Boodrookas |
This year's Central Region Consortium's (CRC) Annual Planning meeting attracted over 45 community college stakeholders to learn, share, and plan for 2012-2013.
Presentations from Chancellor's Office staff, EWD Center Directors, and the Bay Area's CTE Employment Outcomes Project provided a framework for regional discussion and planning. As we concluded the 3-day meeting, facilitated by George Boodrookas, consensus was reached on Strategic Priorities for the Consortium for 2012-2013.
This year's annual meeting was also a time to say, "Good-bye!" to our friend and colleague, George Boodrookas, who has served the Central Region as a workforce and economic development leader for many years . . . most recently as EWD Co-Chair to the Central Region Consortium. George's new assignment at Modesto Junior College as Dean of College Advancement & Community Education and Executive Director, MJC Foundation led him to the decision to step down as Co-Chair.
With George's departure as EWD co-chair, a call for nominations was sent out last spring, and the final result was the endorsement of Dr. Louann Waldner as EWD Co-Chair. Louann serves as the Director of the EWD Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) at College of the Sequoias in Visalia. She joins Jim Andersen, CTE Co-Chair and Dean of Instruction at Merced College, to lead the Consortium. WELCOME, Louann!
You will find all Planning Meeting documents on the Minutes page of the CRC Website at
