BACKGROUND
The purpose of the CTE Employment Outcomes Project is to address the current lack of data demonstrating the impact of CTE programs.  The effort seeks to take to scale Cabrillo and other college CTE completer/leaver surveys via a statewide pilot.  The concept as currently conceived, is that interested colleges could pool resources to participate in a centralized survey, rather than try to invent one alone or college by college.  A call was convened on 6/15/11 to discuss a concept paper prepared by the RP group outlining possibilities for implementation.  48 individuals joined the call representing roughly 20 colleges, 3 community college districts, 3 EWD Initiatives, the RP Group and the Chancellors Office.  Based on feedback from the call it was agreed a REVISED Concept Paper should be produced, incorporating feedback from the call, followed by a 2nd statewide call, prior to project launch. 

To date, 4 colleges have stated a firm commitment to participate in the pilot survey projected for Fall 2011, and several others are considering it.  We hope to nail down firm commitments from up to 6 additional colleges by Aug 12, 2011.  The intent of the pilot survey is to refine the methodology prior to statewide implementation, hopefully with many more colleges, in Fall 2012.
