TO: CONSORTIA and COLLABORATIVE GRANT MANAGERS
SUBJECT: This is a follow up to the notice I sent out last week concerning the increase in funding for Perkins IB Leadership Grants.
Please DO NOT forward this to your districts, IC grant managers or others, as there appears to be some confusion with all the Perkins budget augmentation information we have been sending recently. Please read all of this and then send your questions, if any.
We now have solid budget numbers and I can confirm that Consortia grants will be funded at 95% of last year's amount and Collaborative grants at 90% of last year's amount. There is a spread sheet attached that shows the final figures (1st column) , what we had estimated and sent out in the grant RFA you received (2nd column), and last year's grant amounts (3rd column).
Your due date for the Perkins IB Grants has been extended to June 3rd to allow you time to make changes to your grant that incorporate these additional funds. In addition to changing your budget, please incorporate discussion of which projects will be added or increased.
The signature face sheet that you were originally sent by email is in Excel format, and I/we are granting you permission to change the figures/dollar amounts on this page to reflect the new figures in the Final 2011-12 column on the attached spread sheet. On this spread sheet, when you update the first and third cells, the second and fourth figures will change with them.
If you have questions on the figures and/or wish to have me forward you a revised face sheet, contact me. Please work with your project monitor as needed to get these grants completed ASAP. These last minute changes create challenges for all of us.
