FROM: Ron Selge, Dean

SUBJECT: Release of Career and Technical Education Act Title I-C 2011-2012 Online Local Application
The Career and Technical Education Act, Title I-C 2011-2012 Local Application Web-based System is now available for data input and can be accessed at http://misweb.cccco.edu/ctegrantplan/prod/logon.cfm or http://misweb.cccco.edu
Templates of the online local application forms located at http://www.cccco.edu/ChancellorsOffice/Divisions/EconDevWorkPrep/CTE/Grants/VTEA1c/20102011/tabid/1700/Default.aspx
were provided to enable districts to begin the planning process in advance of release of the online application system.
Following this email, District Title I-C Project Directors will receive an additional email containing two passwords used to access the Title I-C 2011-2012 Local Application system. The first (Project Director) password is the same password that the District Project Director uses to access the Perkins Title I-C Year-to-Date Expenditures and Progress Report system. The Project Director password allows the user to enter, revise, and save data, and the mark forms as completed.
The second (General User) password allows all the functions above except completion of forms. The second password enables the District Project Director to allow others to input data directly into the application system while restricting access to their personal password. In the case of multi-campus districts, the District Project Director may elect to share their password with individual Project Directors from each college.
The third (CEO) password is reserved for the District Superintendent/President who certifies and submits the completed District Title I-C 2011-2012 Local Application. To ensure the CEO Password is sent to the correct email address, we require that within two weeks after the release of the 2011-2012 Title I-C Online Local Application: the District Project Director reviews, updates and saves the District Contact Information Form (CTE-5). The CEO password will be emailed to the District Superintendent/President email contained in this form.
Districts are reminded that the purpose of Carl D. Perkins Title I-C funds is Career Technical Education (CTE) course and program improvement. These funds cannot be used for courses with non-vocational TOP codes (even if it is a required general education or pre-requisite for a CTE degree/certificate program) or generic basic skills courses. For more information, check-out the Managing Perkins Funds Tutorial.
After the Local Application is certified and submitted, the CTE-1 (Allocation Certification Face-sheet) will be activated and displayed online. NOTE: The date tocertify and submittheDistrict Career and Technical Education Act, Title I-C 2011-2012 Local Application via the web-based system is: May 15, 2011
