Dear CCC Instructor/Professor/Administrator,
The Advanced Transportation Technology and Energy Initiative (ATTE), funded through the CCC Chancellor's Office and Economic Workforce Development, is conducting a system wide 'Green' survey. We are attempting to identify colleges that have existing 'green' courses or programs available. The survey covers all 'green' fields of study including, but not limited to:
'Green' Construction and DesignRenewable Energy
- Construction Practices- Photovoltaic
- Construction Materials- Solar Thermal
- Energy Efficient Design (Interior and Exterior)- Geothermal
Advanced Transportation (Alternative Fuels)- Biomass
- Compressed Natural Gas- Wind Generated (utility-scale and distributed)
- Liquefied Natural Gas- Hydro
- Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid Electric- Tidal Power
- Full Electric
- PropaneCommunity Awareness Programs

- Solar-powered- Consumer Training & Assistance
- Fuel Cell- Small Business Training & Assistance
Please take a moment to visit the survey's web link below and complete the information requested for your college. The survey should take no longer than about 10 minutes to complete. The data you provide will greater improve our overall picture of what the CCC system is accomplishing through the state.
Please complete the survey by October 29th, 2010. A reminder email will be sent out on Oct. 22nd.
Part of the ATTE Initiative's scope is to assist prospective students with training, through the Community Colleges, that will lead to a career in the 'green' sector. The data collected will help us accomplish this duty more effectively by directing students to college's in their region who offer the specific program(s) they are seeking.
The results of this survey will be compiled and posted on the ATTE and 4Energy websites, giving access to the entire CCC system. In addition, the results will also be used to help allocate solar training and equipment funds from a DOE grant being administered by the Chancellor's Office.
If further details are needed you will be contacted by one of our ATTE representatives for clarification.
Thank you in advance for your participation.
