Dear Coalition Member,

We would like to invite you to attend a meeting of the Valley Coalition for UC Merced Medical School next Friday, Oct. 15, 2010. This will be a good opportunity for the Coalition to hear of the progress that has been made on the proposed medical school since we last met.

We have asked Dr. Fred Meyers, executive director of UC Merced Medical Education and Academic Planning, to give a presentation regarding the new UC Davis-UC Merced San Joaquin Valley PRIME Program. Dr. Meyers unveiled this program at the UC Board of Regents' September meeting, and we are looking forward to hearing about the details of the program and the status of the application process.

We look forward to seeing you on October 15 at 2 p.m. at Castle Air Conference Center, 1900 Airdrome Entry, Atwater.
