CENTRAL REGION CONSORTIUM LIST SERVICE MEMBER:

In addition to warm sunny days, summer has brought with it many changes for the Central Region Consortium (CRC).  In July the Consortium office moved from Columbia College to the Community and Economic Development Unit at Modesto Junior College.
Unpacking boxes was combined with Regional subcommittee conference calls to begin planning a Facilitative Leadership workshop and exploring electronic tools for enhancing regional communication.
In the days ahead, you will receive information about a workshop that has been designed to enhance the effectiveness of leaders. Facilitative Leadership: Tapping the Power of Participation will be held at the Clovis Center on September 30 and October 1, 2010.
The newsletter you are reading is one of the products now available to the CRC from Constant Contact.  Email marketing, event marketing, and online surveys will improve how we communicate with you.  In addition, quarterly and/or topic specific Webinars will be scheduled using the Webinar services available to us via CCCconfer.
Next week, you will receive a SURVEY that was developed by your Regional Communication Subcommittee to gather regional input for improving electronic communication and the CRC Website.  We hope you will take a few minutes to respond to this short survey.
I hope your are enjoying your summer and that you will have the opportunity for a few days of R&R before school begins.  I look forward to seeing you in 2010-2011.

New CTE Credit Programs
The program approval process outlined by the California Community College Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) requires that all requests to add new programs or certificates to a college's inventory of career technical education programs include a recommendation from the Regional Consortium. This recommendation is intended to inform members of the Consortia about changes in programs at member colleges and to foster a spirit of collaboration and coordination that results in viable and accessible choices of occupational and workforce education throughout Region. To obtain this recommendation, college lead CTE administrators follow a regional process that is coordinated by the Central Region Consortium office.
