David O'Brien to Present Building Emotional Intelligence in Leaders Workshop  

 

As part of David's ongoing partnership with the CT Association of Nonprofits, he will be delivering his very popular Building Emotional Intelligence In Leaders workshop on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Hartford office of CT Nonprofits. The three-hour program is designed to provide participants with an opportunity to evaluate their current level of EQ competence while also exploring a wide range of methods for increasing their capacity to lead and influence both in and out of the workplace. WCS Introduces New Stress Management Workshop


As part of our ongoing commitment to leadership learning and organizational effectiveness, we are pleased to introduce a new stress management workshop for leaders entitled, Leading Through Stress. Based on months of research and development, the workshop offers a meaningful framework for helping leaders to uncover and seize the role model opportunity associated with workplace stress. David O'Brien to Present The State of Leadership 2012 at HRACC Event

 

David O'Brien will be the featured speaker at the Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut's monthly dinner meeting on January 19, 2012. His presentation entitled The State of Leadership 2012 offers many valuable insights into the key dimensions of leadership success in 2012 and beyond. It also provides a framework for expanding HR's influence, impact and value. This presentation has been submitted for Strategic CEU credit approval. David O'Brien to Present Leading Through Stress at SHRM Tri-State Leadership Conference

 

David O'Brien will be delivering a keynote version of his new Leading Through Stress program at the SHRM Tri-State Leadership Conference from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on January 18, 2012 at the Public House in Sturbridge, MA. In this highly interactive presentation, participants will explore a variety of techniques for helping to turn workplace stress into a leadership opportunity. You are invited to attend this 90-minute presentation at no charge but are asked to please contact David O'Brien via e-mail by December 31, 2011 to register.

Stress Management"To whom much is given, much is expected".  Although this age-old adage can be attributed to a variety of sources, one thing that is certain is that it is a poignant reminder for all of us who are called to lead in the 21st century.


At a foundational level, leadership is a gift and a huge responsibility which must be honored. After all, who else is provided with countless opportunities each day to influence and impact people's lives in so many ways? While the responsibilities are many and at times burdensome, we must never lose sight of these opportunities nor take them for granted.
