The Kelly Rooney Memorial Scholarship Returns
The Kelly Rooney Foundation and Save 2nd Base are now accepting applications for the Kelly Rooney Memorial Scholarship for the 2012 school year! KRF and S2B will provide a $10,000 scholarship to a high school senior who lost his or her mother to cancer - and who will be attending an accredited four-year college or university. For more information about the scholarship and Katie's story, please visit our scholarship page. Applications must be postmarked by April 16. Please encourage all eligible students to apply! To benefit the scholarship fund this year, Save 2nd Base is hosting a Beef and Beer event at the Great American Pub in Conshohocken THIS FRIDAY, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 each for unlimited beverages, beef, pasta and salad. All proceeds will benefit the Kelly Rooney Memorial Scholarship. For more details, please email [email protected]. |

Sixth Annual Golf Outing & Auction
Calling all golfers and KRF supporters! It's almost that time of the year again - mark your calendars for the Sixth Annual Golf Outing and Auction on Monday, May 14, 2012! Please save the date and help us celebrate and honor Kelly, whose legacy provides hope and progress for young women facing breast cancer. Last year's event helped the Foundation exceed the $1 million mark in fundraising efforts. More than 150 people participated in the golf outing and more than 200 people attended the evening cocktails, dinner, and auction event, helping us raise a record-breaking $250,000. Be sure to look for sponsor and registration forms to be available on our website by the end of March. |
