 Urine the Know
Four Loko is a combination alcohol and energy drink made by Phusion Projects Inc and is sold in a variety of flavors. It is sold in a 23.5 oz aluminum can and contains 12% alcohol. In states that allow the sales of alcohol in convenience stores it is located with other energy drinks bringing about the danger that some people may purchase it without even realizing it contains alcohol; although it is mostly sold in retailers that only sell alcohol.
Four Loko is the equivelant of four bottles of beer, has the caffeine levels of three 8 ounce cups of coffee and contains the sugar content of one king size Kit Kat bar. It contains Taruine, Guarana and Wormwood. Wormwood is an active ingredient in absinthe. People are sometimes less aware of the effects of alcohol when drinking Four Loko because of the stimulant effect of caffeine. This is particularly dangerous because people have been putting themselves in high risk situations because they are alert and intoxicated but don't feel drunk. It is also dangerous when mixed with depressants. A study done by Wake Forest University found that students who combine alcohol and caffeine are more likely to suffer alcohol-related injuries than students who drank only alcohol. In addition caffeine and alcohol are diuretics and the combination of the two can cause dehydration. Four Loko has been termend "Liquid Cocaine" by the media.

DOT UPDATES:
The Department of Transportation published a final rule authorizing the use of an updated Alcohol Testing Form with a mandatory start date of August 1, 2010. The Department subsequently learned the industry might not use all the forms by that mandatory use date. To avoid wasting the forms, the Department is extending the mandatory use date to January 1, 2011. * DOT Random Testing Rates for 2011
The Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy and Compliance (ODAPC) has updated the DOT annual random testing rates for 2011. These rates will remain the same as the 2010 year. * DEA to Ban Synthetic Cannabinoids
Beginning November 24, 2010 the DEA has issued a notice of intent to temporarily place five synthetic cannabinoids into the Controlled Substances Acte. The substances are as follows: 1-pentyl-3-(1-naphthoyl)indole (JWH-018), 1-butyl-3-(1-naphthoyl)indole (JWH-073), 1-[2-(4-morpholinyl)ethyl]-3-(1-naphthoyl)indole (JWH-200), 5-(1,1-dimethylheptyl)-2-[(1R,3S)-3-hydroxycyclohexyl]-phenol (CP-47,497), and 5-(1,1-dimethyloctyl)-2-[(1R,3S)-3-hydroxycyclohexyl]-phenol
(cannabicyclohexanol; CP-47,497 C8 homologue).
The DEA Deputy Administrator believes this action is necessary to avoid immenent danger to public safetly. When finalized, this action will impose criminal sanctions and regulatory controls of Schedule 1 substances under the CSA on the manufacture, distribution, possession, importation and exportation of these synthetic cannabinoids.

Commonly known as: uppers, speed, black beauties, meth, whites, jelly beans, dexies, crank, white cross, benny and crystal.
What to Look For: Tablets of varying colors, possible chain smoking
Signs & Symptoms: Long periods without rest or sleep, loss of appetite, anxiety, irritability, rapid speech, tremors or mood elevation.
Time Detectable:
Methamphetamine and amphetamine are both detectable in the urine for 1 to 3 days, in the hair for up to 90 days (depending on hair length) and in oral fluid for 24 to 36 hours.
Dangers: Disorientation, severe depression, paranoia, possible hallucinations, increase in blood pressure or fatigue.
