Greetings!

Thank you for all you do to honor our Earth Mother and to safeguard her sacred traditions.  We look to our Brothers for guidance about how we may bring the much needed masculine perspective to the fore as we carry forward the legacy of a beautiful world for the next seven generations.

You are invited to attend a special Circles of Empowerment event created for Brothers only. Please bring yourself and any other men with whom you would like to share council and ceremony.

This is a spiritual gathering with no set agenda other than the one the gathered Brothers set together.  Please see below for more details on the day's events; you may attend any or all parts of the program ~ you do not need to stay the whole time.

It is our hope that this event will support our Brothers in a gathering that is fun & fulfilling, and that we will hear more about how Circles can achieve a balance that works not only for sisters, but brothers as well.

Sincerely,

Tobey White Heart for Circles of Empowerment

To cover costs we are asking for a suggested donation of $10.  Money should be no obstacle to attendance however - please come if you are called, regardless of finances.

Council Meeting  1 pm

stoking the sacred Fire

Circles welcomes Brothers to this special men's event, guided by Sun Dancer Eric Walther.

Join us for part of the day or for the whole day and share fellowship while exploring native perspectives on ceremony and re-connecting with the Earth Mother and the divine feminine.

This time that is upon us brings with it many challenges, opportunities and new avenues to explore.  If we are to safeguard the future for the next seven generations, we must commit to positive action now.  How can we all meet these goals in a good way, in balance and respect for one another?

We value the participation of our brothers and encourage you to bring your insight to this Council.  Among the issues you will choose to discuss among yourselves, we hope to also hear how Circles of Empowerment can best serve you and your needs.  We are looking for honest dialogue, foundation building and trust between all members of our Circles community, and that includes you.

Sweat Lodge  4 pm

Sweat Lodges were given to the people all over the world, thousands of years ago to help improve their lives.  The Sweat Lodge is a sacred place to explore, develop and enhance our relationship to 'All That Is' and it acts as an accelerator to spiritual growth.  The ceremony is a powerful way to pray, and it cleanses us, heals us and helps us to grow.

After the Council and with time set aside to prepare the Sweat Lodge and fire, the Sweat will begin.  The scheduled time is 4 pm.  Eric will be the Sweat lead.  Depending on the number of men in attendance, the Sweat will likely last 3-4 hours.   The Sweat Lodge will also have to be uncovered before the end of the day, so please allow a little time to fold blankets and put away supplies.

As always, it is a safe ceremonial space, with respect for everyone's privacy outside of circle.

If you have never attended a Sweat Lodge, or would like more information about how to have a good sweat experience in general, please read this PDF for some helpful info and guidelines.

Potluck  early evening

This is going to be a welcome feast after an extended period in Council and Sweat Lodge so bring something that you think you would like to eat, and then bring more of it to share with everyone else.

Since it is hard to know exactly how long the Sweat Lodge will be, the time here is only a rough guideline, but probably the potluck will start around 7:30 or 8 pm, and last less than an hour.

The Sweat Lodge will also have to be uncovered before the end of the day, so please allow a little time to fold blankets and put away supplies.
