Long Dance village

A special Long Dance message from Hua:

Wow, now I have been to a few Long Dances before, and I have to say this year's ceremony was extraordinary! From start to finish there were unique moments that have never occurred at LD before: The beautiful evening of the Brothers Sweat Ceremony and the Sisters Full Moon Ceremony. The Friday classes and Sister Homelodge Sweat ceremony was different for me, and coming out to an extraordinary film viewing of the teachings of the Elders given by Tony - wow that was mind blowing. The beauty of the village, dance circle and the altar. And with 5 Tipi's the Lodges were all soooooo lovely. The magnificent lighting of the center Fire the visible presence of Spirit. The light in the sky (which was a rocket). The White Horse in the field . The Elder sweat was so powerful I could feel it flow out into the circle. Thank you Skywalker for pouring water for our village. The Drum Lodge rocked. Thank you and congratulations to Melissa on her first time leadership in the Drum Lodge and to her crew. Mother Lodge was so lovely and open, it was truly healing. Congratulation to Hawk Woman on her first time leadership in the Mother Lodge. Well done!

The Moonlodge welcomed a new lead Little Big Woman (Rainbow Jaguar) and she brought her years of learning, extensive ceremonial experience and passion with her, and gave it up for our community. Thank you and we look forward to more engagements. The Queens of the Latrines did an great job in meeting our needs - always looking for ways to improve and it showed up. Thank you! Thank you, Doe Star, for the food table at the Grandmother Lodge - yummm - and to Grandmother Bridgeweaver for the work of circling those wild grannies with intention and prayers. The Great Grace and compassion that gave and gave at the Wellness Lodge. Thank tou for keeping us on our feet and dancing! Thank you to the Kachina spirits and the sharing of the Danza, the deepening of meaning. You just never know who will show up!

The Brothers' sunrise embrace of song and serenade was a powerful healing moment for all. The Kitchen Lodge kept us well with their timeliness, good food, and love going far and beyond in taking care of us. Thank You, Aquit, to you and your crew who were tireless in managing all the stuff.  Little Deer thanks for the beauty and warmth of the Welcome Lodge to you and your crew, Thank You. Congratulations to White Wolf on her first year leadership of a successful Trade Circle and to the generosity of the traders. To the Firekeepers and their lead, Arrow, you kept our energy strong, vibrant and bright. Thank you for going beyond selflessness. Team Dog Soldiers!!! The deepest of gratitude to all who showed up and did the work. So many lent their energy this year -  thank you all!  May the change that comes from this ceremony come gently and in balance.

I look forward to meeting you all in ceremony again and again and again.
