4-H Science Day With the Lugnuts

4-H Science Day with the Lugnuts is coming soon (Sunday, July 15) to Cooley Law School Stadium!

Have you ordered your tickets yet? If not, just click here.

You can order as many tickets as you want. If your whole group or county would like to participate, consider ordering all of your tickets at once! That way everyone will be seated together and ticket packages can be delivered or will be at Will Call together!

Lots of Opportunities for Fun

Besides watching the game, there will be other opportunities for fun throughout the day:

  • Get to the stadium early because the gates are open at noon just for you with free inflatable games for all ages until 12:50 pm! (After 12:50 pm the price is $5 for unlimited games.)
  • Learn the science of throwing a curve ball from Lugnuts' players!
  • See how science pops up in everything at the ballpark from the field to food, featuring the Lugnuts' Director of Food and Beverage and the Head Groundskeeper!
  • There will be special science activities for preschool youth as well!
  • Take the field - just like your favorite Lugnut - from 1pm to 1:30pm to play catch!
  • Our group will be recognized by the entire stadium on the scoreboard and welcomed with a P.A. announcement. Be sure to list your 4-H group on your order so every club in attendance gets recognized!
  • Check out all the experiments and booths on the Concourse throughout the day (with special appearances by Potter Park Zoo and Impression 5)!
  • Run the bases immediately following the game just like your favorite Lugnut!

Help Wanted

There are several ways you can help make this day a special 4-H highlight. If you're interested in participating in any of these ways, contact the 4-H program coordinator in your county Extension office or Theresa Silm  (or by phone at 989-224-5252) for details. Would you like to:

  • Sing Take Me Out To The Ballgame with Director Tom Coon during the 7th inning stretch?
  • Help 4-H State Leader Julie Chapin lead the pledges to the flags before the start of the game?
  • Sing The Star Spangled Banner before the game?
  • Lead the crowd in singing God Bless America?

We look forward to celebrating 4-H Science Day with the Lugnuts and YOU!
