It's time to get excited!  Your matches have had the date saved and marked off on their calendars for months.  The moment they have been waiting for is here:  Registration is now open for the 4th annual 4-H Mentoring Weekend!  Join us at the beautiful Kettunen Center in Tustin, MI on July 22nd - 24th, 2011.

 

 In its fourth year, 4-H Mentoring Weekend offers mentoring matches from around the state an incredible opportunity to strengthen their relationship and create lasting memories together. With 190 participants over the past three years, 4-H Mentoring Weekend  is sure to be the highlight of the summer for your matches!

 

For a registration fee of $40 per person, youth and their mentors will have three days, two nights lodging at the wonderful Kettunen Center, all meals included, access to their choice of workshops, and a free 4-H Mentoring Weekend tee shirt!  


Mentoring Weekend ArcheryThis year's event is jam-packed with fun and educational workshops!  Matches won't want to miss Jell-O Wars, Archery, or Capture the Flag!  Matches can try out their journalistic side with the brand-new 4-H Mentoring Weekend Press Corps and interview matches, video tape activities and record all that the weekend has to offer. While at 4-H Mentoring Weekend, mentors will be given the chance to develop skills and network during two workshops dedicated solely to mentor training and support. Youth will get the chance to meet other mentees from around the state and explore positive recreational activities.

Make sure your matches reserve their spot--they won't want to miss this event!  Registration forms and payment are due on July 5th, 2011.  There will be two Q&A webinars for program staff who would like to go through the registration form and the weekend agenda.  The first session will be held on Wednesday, June 8th, at 2pm (session number 7322).  The second session will be held on Thursday, June 16th, at 10am (session number 7323).  To register for the sessions, please visit the MSU Professional Development Registration System.  All mentoring program staff are welcome to attend these sessions.
