Can you believe it is 2011? Where did 2010 go?

No matter where I go or whom I speak with, people ask me about the economy, and how to stay in business during this economic storm.

 

First, let me say there is no doubt that we are experiencing difficult economic times. We cannot fix the economy, but we can control what we think, say and do. Our attitude and our perception of the situation will greatly influence our results for the upcoming year. We can chose to be defeated by what is going on around us, or we could be creative, conduct the necessary research, build solid strategies, make a plan of action, and fearlessly execute the plan. The choice is ours!

 

We must remember that what we are setting out to do is achievable and has been accomplished before. Companies such as General Electric, CNN, FedEx and Microsoft, to name a few were birthed and grew during recessions. These companies made the choice to play full-out, and it paid off. We can choose to do the same.

 

My personal attitude and perception is that owning my own business in this current economic climate is a blessing. It allows me to be in the driver's seat and forces me to do what I might not have done if the climate allowed me to be complacent. In today's world, there is no room for complacency!

 

You are the captain of your company's ship. Your actions will determine your businesses destiny. Your company's future is up to you!
