Help for Haiti |
Many local doctors and fellow CCMS members are currently providing emergency medical service to injured residents of Haiti through several local and national recovery efforts. These professionals are in dire need of any and all medical supplies. The Medical Society will be accepting your donations at their office during regular office hours and will make arrangements to ship these items to our colleagues in Haiti. Kindly drop your items off at 1148 Goodlette Road North. A detailed list of needed medical supplies is available HERE. If you are interested in volunteering or donating to the relief efforts, the FMA provides a wealth of information on its website.

| Be ready to volunteer during a disaster |
Physicians and medical staff wishing to sign up ahead of a disaster should go to www.servfl.com and register as a volunteer under the local Medical Reserve Corps. By registering as a volunteer, an individual will be able to input the skills, abilities, language, and more that will assist emergency managers in identifying volunteers for specific duties.
The Medical Reserve Corps is the volunteer state program that works with emergency management to develop groups of volunteer responders for different emergency missions. A community member will be contacted by a local Medical Reserve Corps coordinator for further information, training, and more.
