QU Fund Exceeds $1 Million Goal
On behalf of Quincy University, we'd like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our alumni and friends for helping us to reach our million dollar goal for the 2011-2012 QU Fund.  In total, Quincy University raised a record $1,030,000 for the QU Fund which supports annual operating expenses, technology upgrades, campus enhancements, faculty development, and endowment.  All-around fundraising efforts, which include restricted and estate gifts, totaled nearly $3.4 million!  To learn more, or to do your part in helping us to reach our 2012-13 goal, visit the QU site.
Homecoming is Just Around the Corner
We invite you to save the dates and join us this September 14-16 for the annual festivities.  Some of this year's highlights include the second annual "Get Back BBQ", Homecoming Luncheon, and alumni gatherings in both the Hawks' Nest and the newly-debuted "Qyo" frozen yogurt shop.  In addition, our Hawks will take on the University of Indianapolis at the first ever Homecoming NIGHT game at Flinn Stadium!  For a full list of events, visit the Homecoming page.
QU Chapel Turns 100
In honor of the QU Chapel's 100th anniversary, Quincy University
is celebrating the chapel's rich history and the Franciscan tradition through a series of Centennial events.  A special anniversary mass will be held on September 16 and October 7 with a vow renewal ceremony for couples married in the chapel.  For more information on upcoming chapel events, the chapel's history, or to see how you can support its legacy, visit the QU site.
QU & You Golf Wrapup
Thank you to all who joined us for the second annual "QU and You" Chicago Golf Classic on June 22.  Over 130 alumni and friends participated in the tournament and dinner which ultimately raised nearly $14,000.  The proceeds will benefit Quincy University student scholarships.  To see photos from the event, visit our Facebook page.
