Quincy University officially welcomed the Class of 2012 to its alumni family during the 149th Commencement ceremony on May 13 in the Pepsi Arena.  Nearly 300 undergraduates and Masters candidates crossed the stage in front of a crowd of over 2,000.  Bishop Thomas John Paprocki delivered this year's Commencement address and was presented with an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters by President Bob Gervasi and the Board of Trustees.  Class representative Tori Melville delivered a spirited welcome address on behalf of her 2012 classmates.

Thank you to all who participated in the first ever "Final Challenge" in conjunction with QU's final exams week.  Through text messaging and online donations, we increased our percentage of supporting alumni and ultimately raised a total of $3,760 from generous donors all over the country.  We could not have asked for a better first-time virtual campaign.

After 15 dormant years, the Paul J. Klein Memorial Fountain in front of Francis Hall is back up and running.  Faculty and staff gathered at the fountain for a special blessing ceremony just prior to flipping the switch on May 2.  Special thanks to National Management Resources Corporation for supplying the funds needed to rejuvenate the fountain.
