Did You Know...
An anonymous alum plans to match gifts up to $25,000 to the Robert Lee Mejer Visual Arts Award Scholarship. To date, the University has received $6,000 towards this match. Support our arts program by helping us reach this goal. Remember, your gift will have double the impact!

The Final Challenge 2012
As students are preparing for their own final exams, we're extending a comparable challenge to our alumni. Beginning at 6:00 pm on May 6 (the first day of final exams), we are kicking off our first ever "Final Challenge". For 48 hours, we'll be hosting an online giving event in support of Quincy University. Of course, unlike our students, you won't have to pull any all-nighters. You won't have to fill any blue books with essays. You won't even need to bring a #2 pencil. All we are asking for is a donation of any amount, large or small, to help us raise our level of alumni participation this fiscal year which ends May 31. We are currently at 14 percent and if 500 alumni who have not yet supported make a gift to Quincy University at any amount, this level increases to nearly 20 percent. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for details as the "Final Challenge" date nears! |

Upcoming Golf Events
Gather your alumni friends and join us for one, two, or all three of our upcoming golf tournaments. On May 4, Jack Mackenzie along with generous soccer alumni are hosting the 9th annual Quincy Soccer Alumni Golf Shootout in St. Louis. May 14 marks the 33rd annual Mart Heinen Golf Tournament in Quincy and the QU and You Chicago Golf Classic returns for the second year to Winfield, Illinois on June 22. Non-golfers are invited to join us after the QU & You Tournament for a reception with dinner and a silent auction. |
Were You Married in the Chapel?
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Quincy University Chapel and to commemorate, we want to hear from our alumni that were married in the chapel. If you and your spouse (who does NOT have to be an alum) were married in the QU Chapel, let us know by sending an e-mail to qualumni@quincy.edu along with, in your own words, a short paragraph about what the chapel means to you. Selected couples may be featured in this fall's QUniverse Magazine. |
Hops for the Homeless
With shared ties to the Sacred Heart Province and roots in Franciscan Service, we are happy to help our friends at the Franciscan Outreach Association's Young Professionals Board with their next event. On behalf of the committee, we invite our Chicago-area alumni to a night of food, drinks, and fun on April 19. This "Hops for the Homeless" event takes place at Chicago's Cortland's Garage and runs from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Tickets are $30 per person. For details, visit the FOA website. |
